Stupid Shark ("Stupid Shark," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected when you install, access, or use the mobile game Huecube (the "Game"), contact us, or otherwise interact with services connected to the Game (collectively, the "Services").
Stupid Shark is the developer and data controller responsible for the processing described in this Privacy Policy, except where a third-party service provider acts as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Please read this Privacy Policy before using Huecube. By using the Game, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by law, we will request it separately before the relevant processing begins.
This Privacy Policy applies to Huecube and related support communications. It does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, advertising services, or other services that have their own privacy policies.
Huecube currently does not require you to create a user account. Game progress and preferences may be stored locally on your device. Clearing the Game's local data or uninstalling the Game may delete locally stored progress and settings.
We collect only information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, support, and monetize Huecube.
If you contact us for support, submit feedback, report a problem, or exercise a privacy right, we may collect:
Your email address or other contact details you choose to provide.
The content of your message.
Screenshots, recordings, diagnostic files, or other attachments you voluntarily send.
Information needed to investigate your request, such as device model, operating-system version, Game version, approximate date and time of an issue, purchase details, or an app/device identifier.
Our correspondence with you.
Please do not send sensitive personal information that is not necessary for us to handle your request.
When you use Huecube, the Game and integrated software development kits ("SDKs") may automatically process the following categories of information:
Device type, manufacturer, and model.
Operating system and version.
Screen characteristics, memory, storage, processor architecture, and similar technical information.
App version, build number, package identifier, installation source, and language or locale.
Time zone, country or region, and approximate location derived from an IP address. Huecube does not request precise GPS location for normal gameplay.
Network type, connectivity information, IP address, and user-agent or similar request information where processed by service providers.
Random app-instance identifiers.
Firebase installation identifiers.
Crashlytics installation identifiers and session identifiers.
Device or platform identifiers made available by the operating system.
Advertising identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID, where available and permitted by your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law.
Advertising-network or mediation identifiers.
These identifiers generally identify an app installation or device and are not intended to directly identify you by name.
App launches and session duration.
Level starts, completions, failures, retries, and progression.
Gameplay actions, feature usage, settings, and interactions.
Technical events, loading events, and performance-related events.
In-app purchase events and transaction status, where applicable.
Ad impressions, ad format, rewarded-ad completion, clicks, and other ad interactions.
We use this information to understand how Huecube is used, improve level balance and user experience, measure stability, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate advertising and monetization performance.
Huecube uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix crashes and technical problems. Crash and diagnostic information may include:
Crash stack traces and error logs.
Crash time and session information.
App version and bundle/package identifier.
Device model, operating-system version, CPU architecture, available memory, storage, and device state.
Crashlytics installation UUID, Firebase installation ID, and related random identifiers.
Rooted or modified-device status where detectable by the SDK.
Limited diagnostic information associated with the events leading to a crash.
We do not intentionally place names, email addresses, message content, or other directly identifying information into crash logs.
Huecube uses Google Analytics for Firebase. Analytics may collect automatically generated app-instance identifiers, device and app information, automatically collected events, and custom gameplay events configured by us.
Depending on platform configuration, device settings, consent status, and applicable law, Google Analytics for Firebase may also process an advertising identifier. We use analytics data to measure app usage, understand aggregate player behavior, improve gameplay and technical performance, and evaluate updates and features.
We do not use Firebase Analytics to create an account profile identified by your real name or email address.
Huecube uses Firebase Remote Config to deliver configuration values and change certain Game behavior or settings without requiring a new app download. Firebase Remote Config processes a Firebase installation identifier to determine which configuration values are returned to a particular installation.
Remote Config may be used for operational purposes such as feature availability, balancing values, service activation, technical safeguards, or controlled rollouts.
Firebase Cloud Messaging is integrated into Huecube but is intended to be disabled by default. It may be enabled through remote configuration only when we decide to use notification functionality and, where required, after you grant notification permission.
If notifications are enabled, Firebase Cloud Messaging may process:
A Firebase installation identifier.
A push-notification registration token.
Device and app information needed to deliver a message.
Notification delivery and interaction events.
You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling notifications does not prevent you from playing Huecube.
Huecube may display advertisements, including rewarded advertisements and other supported ad formats. We use Unity LevelPlay, also known as ironSource LevelPlay, as an advertising mediation platform. Current mediated advertising services may include:
ironSource / Unity LevelPlay.
Google AdMob.
Unity Ads.
Advertising partners may collect or receive:
Advertising identifiers and other device identifiers.
IP address and approximate location derived from IP address.
Device, operating-system, language, app, and network information.
Ad impressions, clicks, rewarded-ad completion, ad frequency, and other interaction information.
Diagnostic and fraud-prevention information.
Consent and privacy-choice signals.
Advertising partners use this information to deliver contextual or personalized advertising, limit ad frequency, measure performance, attribute installs or actions, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
Where required by law, personalized advertising is used only after obtaining the required consent or providing the required opt-out mechanism. If personalized advertising is disabled, you may still receive contextual or non-personalized advertisements.
Advertising partners may act as our processors, independent controllers, or joint controllers depending on the service and applicable law. Their processing is also governed by their own privacy policies.
If Huecube offers in-app purchases, payments are processed by Google Play or another applicable app marketplace. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card or bank-account details.
We may receive limited transaction information needed to validate and provide a purchase, such as:
Product identifier.
Purchase status.
Purchase token or receipt.
Transaction identifier.
Purchase time.
Country or currency information supplied by the marketplace.
The app marketplace processes payment information under its own privacy policy and terms.
Huecube is not designed to collect the following through normal gameplay:
Your real name, postal address, or phone number.
Precise GPS location.
Contacts or address-book data.
Private messages, emails, or text messages stored on your device.
Photos, videos, microphone recordings, or camera data.
Health, biometric, genetic, religious, political, or similarly sensitive information.
This does not prevent you from voluntarily including personal information in a support message or attachment. Please share only what is necessary.
We may use information for the following purposes:
Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests generally include operating and improving Huecube, understanding aggregate usage, maintaining security and stability, preventing fraud, supporting users, and sustaining the Game through advertising. We consider whether our interests are overridden by your rights and freedoms.
We do not sell personal information for money. We may disclose information in the following circumstances.
We use third parties to operate and improve Huecube, including:
Google LLC, through Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Firebase Remote Config, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play services, Google Play Billing, and Google AdMob.
Unity Technologies and its affiliates, through Unity LevelPlay / ironSource and Unity Ads.
Other advertising demand partners made available through LevelPlay mediation, if enabled in the Game's mediation configuration.
These providers may process information on our behalf or for their own documented purposes. We require service providers acting on our behalf to process information consistently with applicable law and their contractual obligations.
We may disclose information if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to:
Comply with applicable law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or lawful governmental request.
Protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Stupid Shark, our users, service providers, or others.
Detect, investigate, or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of applicable terms.
Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
If Stupid Shark is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Where required, we will provide notice before information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
We may use or disclose information that has been aggregated or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be associated with a particular individual or app installation, subject to applicable law.
Depending on your location, Huecube or its advertising partners may present a consent or privacy-choice interface before enabling personalized advertising or accessing information on your device for advertising purposes.
You may be able to control advertising through:
A consent or privacy-choice interface shown in the Game, where available.
Your Android privacy and advertising settings.
Resetting or deleting your device advertising identifier.
Disabling ad personalization in your Google account or device settings.
Contacting us at support@stupidshark.com to request assistance with applicable opt-out rights.
Choosing non-personalized advertising does not remove advertisements from the Game. Rewarded advertisements remain optional in the sense that you choose whether to watch them in exchange for the offered in-game reward, although other ad formats may still be displayed where implemented.
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate Huecube, provide support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention depends on the category and purpose:
Local game data remains on your device until you clear the Game's data, reset the Game, or uninstall it.
Support communications are generally retained for as long as necessary to resolve the request and maintain reasonable support, security, and legal records.
Analytics information is retained according to our configured Google Analytics retention settings and Google's applicable terms.
Crash and diagnostic information is retained according to Firebase Crashlytics settings and Google's applicable retention practices.
Firebase installation information used by Remote Config or Cloud Messaging may remain until deleted through available technical mechanisms or otherwise removed under Firebase's retention practices.
Advertising information is retained by advertising partners according to their own retention periods, legal obligations, and privacy policies.
Purchase records may be retained as necessary to provide purchased content, prevent fraud, comply with tax or accounting obligations, and handle disputes.
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete it, anonymize it, or allow it to be overwritten in accordance with our systems and service-provider processes. Backup copies may remain for a limited period before being deleted through ordinary backup cycles.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access.
These measures may include access restrictions, credential controls, secure service-provider configurations, encryption in transit where supported, software updates, logging, and limiting collection to information reasonably necessary for the stated purposes.
No method of electronic transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to use safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and risks involved.
Stupid Shark operates from Ukraine, while our service providers and advertising partners operate globally. Information may therefore be transferred to, stored in, or processed in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and countries in which Google, Unity, their affiliates, or their service providers maintain facilities.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we and our providers may rely on mechanisms such as:
Adequacy decisions.
Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
The United Kingdom International Data Transfer Addendum or other approved UK safeguards.
Contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards.
Consent or another legally permitted transfer mechanism.
The laws of a destination country may differ from those of your country of residence.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning your personal information, including the right to:
Request confirmation of whether we process your information.
Request access to information we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate information.
Request deletion of information.
Request restriction of processing.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
Request a portable copy of certain information.
Opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities where applicable.
Appeal a refusal of a privacy request where applicable.
Lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection authority.
To submit a request, email support@stupidshark.com with the subject line "Huecube Privacy Request."
Because Huecube does not require an account, we may have limited ability to identify information associated with a particular person. To help us locate relevant records, we may ask for information such as:
Your device platform.
Game version.
Approximate installation or activity date.
Firebase app-instance or installation identifier, where accessible.
Advertising identifier, where relevant and lawfully available.
Purchase transaction identifier, where the request concerns a purchase.
We will use information provided for verification only to process the request. We may deny or limit a request where permitted by law, including where we cannot reasonably verify the request, the request would adversely affect another person's rights, or retention is required by law.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
To delete locally stored Huecube data, you can use your device's application-storage settings to clear the Game's data or uninstall the Game. This action may permanently remove local progress and preferences and may not be reversible.
Some information is controlled directly by Google, Unity, ironSource, AdMob, Unity Ads, an app marketplace, or another advertising partner. We may direct you to the relevant provider or use available provider tools to help process a request where technically possible.
If you are located in the European Economic Area ("EEA"), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Stupid Shark is the controller for processing carried out for our own purposes.
Our legal bases are described in Section 3 and may include:
Performance of a contract when processing is necessary to provide Huecube or a feature you request.
Legitimate interests in operating, securing, supporting, and improving the Game, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Consent for personalized advertising, notifications, device access, or other processing where consent is required.
Compliance with legal obligations.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
You may lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority in the country where you live, work, or believe an infringement occurred. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.
Certain U.S. state privacy laws may provide additional rights. Depending on the law and whether it applies to us, you may have the right to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing.
For the preceding 12 months, the categories of personal information we may have collected include:
Identifiers, such as app-instance IDs, device IDs, advertising IDs, IP addresses, and transaction identifiers.
Internet or electronic activity, such as gameplay events, app interactions, ad interactions, and technical logs.
Approximate geolocation derived from IP address.
Commercial information, such as in-app purchase product and transaction status.
Device, diagnostic, and performance information.
Contact and support information you voluntarily provide.
Inferences or audience segments created by advertising or analytics providers from activity and device information, where permitted.
We collect and disclose these categories for the purposes described in Sections 3 and 4.
We do not sell personal information for money. However, disclosure of identifiers and activity information to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral or targeted advertising may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under some U.S. state laws.
Where applicable, you may opt out through a Game privacy-choice interface when available, supported device or platform settings, or by emailing support@stupidshark.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share — Huecube."
You may designate an authorized agent where permitted. We may require proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly. You may appeal a decision on a request by replying to our decision email with the subject line "Privacy Request Appeal."
For California residents, the categories listed in Section 10.2 are collected at or before use for the following business or commercial purposes:
Providing and maintaining the Game.
Analytics and product improvement.
Debugging and error repair.
Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
Advertising, ad measurement, and rewarded-ad delivery.
Processing and validating purchases.
Customer support.
We retain each category as described in Section 6. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers we know are under 16 years of age for cross-context behavioral advertising without legally required authorization.
If Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados ("LGPD") applies, you may have rights to confirmation of processing, access, correction, anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or unlawfully processed information, portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent, and review of certain automated decisions where applicable.
We process information based on consent, performance of a contract, compliance with law, protection against fraud, and legitimate interests as permitted by the LGPD.
If Canadian privacy law applies, you may request access to and correction of personal information and may withdraw consent, subject to legal and contractual restrictions. We use consent appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and circumstances, including express consent where required for personalized advertising or similar activities.
Huecube is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 or knowingly use their information for personalized advertising.
Age thresholds and parental-consent requirements vary by country. If you are below the age at which you may independently consent to data processing in your country, use Huecube only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in violation of applicable law, contact support@stupidshark.com. We will investigate and take appropriate steps, which may include deletion and requesting action from relevant service providers.
If Huecube is later offered as a child-directed app or participates in a family-specific store program, we will apply the required child-directed settings and update this Privacy Policy as necessary.
The following services may process information in connection with Huecube. Their privacy terms may change independently of this Privacy Policy.
Advertising partners available through mediation may change. We will update this Privacy Policy when a change materially affects how personal information is processed.
Mobile applications do not respond to browser-based "Do Not Track" signals in a uniform way. Where required and technically supported, we will process legally recognized opt-out preference signals, consent choices, or equivalent privacy controls supplied through the operating system, consent platform, or advertising SDK.
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Huecube, our SDKs, advertising partners, legal requirements, or privacy practices.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the Game, the app-store listing, our website, or another appropriate method before the change takes effect where required by law.
Your continued use of Huecube after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated policy will apply to subsequent processing, except where additional consent is legally required.
